METHOD FOR REMOVING POROGEN FROM TEMPERATURE-SENSITIVE MACRORETICULAR POLYMER USING STEAM UNDER REDUCED PRESSURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing porogen from a temperature-sensitive macroreticular polymer, using steam under reduced pressure.;SOLUTION: The improved method for producing a resin comprises conducting steam stripping of the porogen from the polymer under the reduced pressure. The method optionally comprises diluting a mother liquid, for the purpose of removing a processing auxiliary from the liquid, and then conducting the steam stripping under low pressure, for the purpose of removing the porogen. The method produces the resin comprising an adsorbent resin, preferably the adsorbent resin which does not contain a product derived from an animal. Further, the resin produced by using the improved method and a downstream product produced by using the resin in a production process which is used for producing the product are provided in the specification, respectively.
