PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zero pronoun resolving method which realizes higher accuracy in resolving a zero pronoun by combining rules of thumb based on the experiences of human beings, as a guide line, with the removal of an unadequate candidate according to a machine learning rule which designates a right reference destination, compared with a case in which only rules of thumb or only a mechanical learning rule is used, and also provide a zero pronoun resolving device, a zero pronoun resolving program and a recording medium to which the program is recorded. PSOLUTION: In the zero pronoun resolving method, each of candidates in a vector representation is inputted to a device 6, which gives the candidate an order, to generate the numerical expressions of problem lists (V, R, A, D and S) for each candidate. Then, the candidates are given an order by referring to the numerical expressions, and the candidate vectors given the order and the mechanical learning rule are inputted to a learning result application device 8, and then the candidate vectors thus given the order are determined with the mechanical learning rule to find an answer.
