PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for welding copper wires of a torch head for a carbon dioxide gas welding machine capable of preventing expansion of a copper band by high heat and smoothing the flow of the current supplied from the copper wires, and a structure of the torch head welded by the method. PSOLUTION: A method for welding a torch head, copper wires and a copper band out of components of a regular carbon dioxide welding machine in which a hose connection pipe and a rubber hose are successively assembled to the torch head, and a large number of copper wires are press-fixed to an outer circumferential surface of the torch head by the copper band, comprises a step in which cooling water is stored inside a water tank, and a guide bar with a holder formed thereon is placed on an upper end face of the water tank, a step in which the copper band of the torch head is inserted in and installed on the holder so that the rubber hose is immersed in cooling water in the water tank, and a step in which a welding base material is brought into contact with a contact part of the torch head with the copper band, and heated by a torch lamp and welded thereto.
