PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain an optical transmission system with a less likelihood of disconnection at simple workability and low cost.;SOLUTION: Signals modulated by a carrier is subjected to intensity modulation into optical modulated signals by a laser diode 16 of a multimode oscillation type. The optical modulated signals pass through multimode type optical fiber 23 constituting an optical transmission pathway 12 to be sent to a light-sensitive module 13. Then, the optical modulated signals undergo photoelectric conversion at a light-sensitive element 27 in the light-sensitive module 13 to be output as carrier modulated signals.
