PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an FBG-type clinometer in which tension applied to an FBG 4 varies corresponding to a tilt angle of an object to be measured by pendulum weight 2 supported by a stand 1 fixed to the object to be measured and temperature compensation is performed not to change the Bragg wavelength of an FGB due to the ambient temperature.;SOLUTION: The FBG 4 is stretched across an opening part 3a formed between the edges of a circular-arc metal band 3 to which a force from a weight 2 is inputted. The direction of the diameter passing through the opening part 3a of the circular-arc metal band 3 is defined as the x-direction, and the direction orthogonal to the x-direction is defined as the y-direction. A Y-shaped bimetallic member 7 is provided by connecting both ends thereof to the both sides in the y-direction of the circular-arc metal band 3. The tension applied to the FBG 4 is made to vary according to the ambient temperature by the bimetallic member 7 through the metal band 3. By connecting the center part of the metal band 3 to the center part of the bimetallic member 7, which are faced to each other in the x-direction at an interval A, with a connecting means 9 and controlling the amount of the interval A, the tension of the FBG 4 can be controlled.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
