PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sample cell capable of reducing reflected light (scattered light) in the sample cell irradiated with an exciting light and carrying out highly precise analyses, and to provide a spectrofluorometer which uses the sample cell.;SOLUTION: The sample sell for the spectrofluorometer is composed of transparent quartz blocks and black quartz blocks, the transparent quartz blocks are arranged at an area the exciting light enters and an area emitting fluorescence, and a sample-holding section which holds an object sample to be measured, is formed at the center section of the sample cell. The plane in which the exciting light enters is made up so that the black quartz blocks are coupled to both sides of the transparent quartz block for the incident excitation light, and the transparent quarts block for the incident excitation light has its width being in the direction perpendicular to the incident axis of the excitation light and being made more narrow than that of the sample holding section, whereby the sensitivity of fluorescence measurement can be improved.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
