PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dielectric sintering aid which easily enables the mass production of high-Q-value dielectric ceramics.;SOLUTION: A starting material powder is prepared which contains at least 70 wt.% glass containing B2O3, SiO2, MgO, and Li2O as essential components and Al2O3, ZnO, and RO (wherein R is at least one member selected from among Ba, Ca, and Sr) as optional components, has a total amount of MgO, ZnO, Li2O, and RO of at most 54 wt.%, and at most 30 wt.% additive comprising at least one member selected from among an Mg compound, a Zn compound, an Li compound, and an R compound (wherein R is at least one member selected from among Ba, Ca, and Sr), and contains, as a whole, 15 to 40 wt.% B2O3, 10 to 30 wt.% SiO2, 0 to 15 wt.% Al2O3, 25 to 55 wt.% MgO, 0 to 25 wt.% ZnO, 0.5 to 10 wt.% Li2O, and 0 to 10 wt.% RO.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
