PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for preparing a fluorine-containing polymer in an aqueous medium using a surfactant that remains extremely little in a fluorine-containing polymer particle after processes such as aggregation without deteriorating the stability during the polymerization, and to prepare an aqueous dispersion of the fluorine-containing polymer which is excellent in dispersion stability of the fluorine-containing polymer and employs the surfactant that remains extremely little in the fluorine-containing polymer particle after processes such as aggregation.;SOLUTION: In the process for preparing the fluorine-containing polymer, the fluorine-containing polymer is polymerized in an aqueous medium using a carboxylic acid ester bonding-containing carboxylic acid derivative as the surfactant. This carboxylic acid ester bonding-containing carboxylic acid derivative has a carboxylic acid ester bonding which can be substituted with fluorine atoms and -COOM (wherein M is H, NH4, Li, Na or K).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
