PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leaked steel pit for ladle refining with which cut-off work of skull which leaks the steel and slag from the ladle and solidifies, is more easily and more quickly performed than that of a conventional work.;SOLUTION: The structure of the leaked steel pit for ladle refining, disposed below the ladle provided with a gas bottom-blowing function for stirring molten steel held in the inner part thereof, and composed of a plurality of chambers divided with refractory-made partition walls for incorporating and solidifying the leaked steel and the slag from the ladle, is reconstructed. This method is the one, in which over-flowing weirs are arranged in the partition walls. Then, it is desirable that the width of the over-flowing weir is made to be 1/10-1/3 of the width of the partition wall and the depth thereof is made to be 1/20-1/5 of the height of the partition wall.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
