PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brick for a stainless steel refining ladle and the stainless steel refining ladle, excellent in oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance, and spalling resistance.;SOLUTION: A brick for a stainless steel refining ladle is characterized in that 0.5 pts.mass or more each of calcium-silicon alloy and aluminum-magnesium alloy or total of 3 pts.mass of them and 0.5 to 2 pts.mass of ZrB₂ and/or metal aluminum are added to 100 pts.mass of the mixture comprising 90 to 99 pts.mass of MgO-CaO clinker containing 10 pts.mass or more of CaO or a mixture of the clinker and magnesia clinker and 1 to 10 pts.mass of carbon material.
