PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely suppress the lowering of an engine performance liable to occur in conjunction with the supply of a gas fuel. PSOLUTION: This multi-fuel engine generating power by burning at least either of CNG or gasoline in the combustion chambers comprises a gas injector directly injectable CNG into the combustion chambers, a gasoline injector injectable gasoline into the combustion chambers, and an ECU setting the injected amount of CNG according to a torque requirement. When it is determined that all CNG of once set amount cannot be injected in a compression stroke (S18), the ECU re-sets the amount of CNG injectable in the compression stroke and the filled amount of gasoline for supplementing the shorted amount of CNG so that the torque requirement can be satisfied (S20).
