METHOD AND PROGRAM FOR UPDATING COMMON INITIAL ENVIRONMENT OF JOINT USE COMPUTER SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit a system manager to easily update a common initial environment of a plurality of joint use computers irrespective of a scale of a joint use computer system.;SOLUTION: When protection of common initial environment information is released in one joint use computer C1j, the joint use computer C1j determines whether common initial environment information is updated or not. When it is determined to be updated, difference information on common initial environment information before and after update is extracted, and extracted difference information is stored in a server S1. The joint use computer C1j requests update of common initial environment from the other joint use computer. When a common initial environment update order is transmitted, the other joint use computers C11, C12 and C13 release protection of common initial environment information, acquire difference information from the server S1, update common initial environment information based on difference information and protects common initial environment information whose update is completed so as to store it.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
