PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide white cast iron for a cutting tool having excellent working properties at the edge and having satisfactory sharpness since the grain size and distributed condition of V carbides are sufficiently controlled and also its structure is sufficiently stable.;SOLUTION: In the white cast iron for a cutting tool in matrix V carbides are contained, and the size of the V carbides comprised in the part equivalent to the edge is ≤28 μm.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
