PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst capable of decomposing an organohalogenated compound incorporated in soil, ground water or waste water, particularly an aromatic organohalogenated compound such as chlorobenzene, dioxins and PCB (polychlorinated biphenyl) efficiently, economically at normal temperature.;SOLUTION: This catalyst for decomposing the organohalogenated compound is composite powder consisting of at least one noble metal selected from metal iron, carbon, ruthenium, rhodium and palladium and has 85.0-99.9 wt.% metal iron content, 0.1-10.0 wt.% carbon content and 0.01-5.0 wt.% noble metal content.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
