ARC SHIELDING BODY FOR JOINING REINFORCING BAR USED FOR ARC STUD WELDING METHOD AND REINFORCING BAR WELDING METHOD USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arc shielding body used for arc stud welding of butted reinforcing bars to each other and an arc stud welding method for the reinforcing bars using the same.;SOLUTION: The arc shielding body is constituted to a cylindrical body which can be inserted with the ends of the reinforcing bars to be joined from both sides and can butt these ends. Annular or cylindrical heat resistant members which absorb the ruggedness of the reinforcing bar surfaces are fitted into the through-hole thereof apart spacing near their intermediate positions. The internal diameter of the heat resistant members is made approximately the same as the external diameter of the reinforcing bars. The spacing portions opened between the heat resistant members are formed as groove sections for forming the reinforcement of weld of a junction and a plurality of gas vent holes are disposed on the outer peripheral walls of the groove sections.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
