PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent lamp in which a small size and a high output can be realized by securing a thin and long discharge path without deteriorating a flux of light, and a compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp and a compact type fluorescent lamp. PSOLUTION: The fluorescent lamp comprises an arc tube in which a consecutive discharge path is constructed by nearly straight tube shape members 11a, 1b and a coupling member 11c that is mutually connected to these straight tube shape members at the end portion.
