COVERING SAND MATERIAL AND COVERING SAND METHOD OF WATER BOTTOM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide a covering sand material, and a covering sand method, for reducing a secular change, by effectively restraining elution of phosphorus.;SOLUTION: Water or seawater is added and kneaded in combustion ash of a coal burning fluidized-bed furnace using lime stones as a fluid medium. A granular body formed in a granular shape by applying pressure to the kneaded combustion ash, is used as the covering sand material. This material can cover bottom mud as ordinary covering sand, and calcium included much reacts with the phosphorus, and can effectively restrain elution of the phosphorus from the bottom mud. Since CaCO₃ is generated and mutual fluidized-bed ash granular materials are connected, the movement and the outflow by an ocean current can be prevented. Since the material is neutralized when the CaCO₃ is generated on a surface, the sea bottom for raising seaweeds can be formed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
