PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive lost article search/notification method by which a person who has lost an article and a person who has found the article are simply allowed a report. PSOLUTION: The lost article search notification method comprises: a member registration step applied to a person enrolling as a member after purchasing an ID label and registering a name and contact address according to the ID on a member database 16a; a loss registration step registering the date and place of loss applied to the lost article on a loss/finding database 16b upon receiving a contact stating that the ID label-borne article is lost; a finding registration step registering the contact address of the person who found the article and has the found article by corresponding to the ID on the loss/finding database 16b upon receiving a contact stating that the ID label-borne article is found from the third party; a search step searching whether or not finding information or loss information is registered on the record of the ID corresponding to the loss/finding database; and a notification step notifying the involved person of the fact that the lost article is found when the finding information or the loss information is located.
