GREENING BASE AND PLANT CULTIVATION SYSTEM AND PLANT CULTIVATION METHOD USING THE BASE

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a greening base enabling excellently growing various plants even on a rooftop of a building without causing pedestrians on the ground harm and taking much labor and cost. PSOLUTION: This greening base 1 comprises flat plate-like porous concrete having in the inside continuous holes absorbing water with a capillary phenomenon and obtained by kneading cement, water and a lightweight aggregate containing coconut husk charcoal to make raw concrete of zero slump and compacting the concrete in a mold. The greening base 1 is arranged in a bottom watering tank 3 so as to soak the bottom of the greening base 1 in water. A soil layer 10 of a given thickness comprising natural soil, artificial soil or a mixture of natural soil and artificial soil is formed on the greening base 1. Stored water in the bottom watering tank 3 is gradually supplied through the greening base 1 to roots of plants to be planted on the soil layer 10 while keeping the water level of the bottom watering tank 3 lower than the top of the greening base 1.
