PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a case hardening steel having strength higher than that of the conventional medium carbon non-heat treated steel, and also capable of fracture separation, to provide a connecting rod stock obtained by being subjected to fracture separation, and to provide its production method.;SOLUTION: The case hardening steel having excellent fracture separability contains, by mass, 0.10 to 0.35% C, 0.03 to 0.35% Si, 0.15 to 2.00% Mn, 0.56 to 2.00% Cr, 0.005 to 0.050% Al, 0.05 to 0.20% Ti and ≤0.0150% N, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
