PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an application liquid of a reversible thermal recording material which can uniformly disperse an electron-donative coloring compound and an electron-receptive compound in a resin matrix of a reversible thermal recording layer and ensures the availability of successful thermal sensitivity for color developing properties, and a method for manufacturing a reversible thermal recording medium.;SOLUTION: This method for manufacturing the application liquid of a reversible thermal recording material, which contains a leuco dye, a developer, a decoloring promotor and a resin, can relatively create a state of color development and a state of decoloring due to a difference in the heating temperature and/or the cooling rate after heating. The leuco dye, developer and decoloring promotor are mixed/melted at a higher temperature than the melting point of the material having a highest melting point among the three components, then the obtained mixed melt is cooled/hardened and the hardened mixture is ground, and the grinds are dispersed in a resin solution. The reversible thermal recording medium is obtained by applying the application liquid onto a support and drying the liquid into a film.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
