PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impregnating solution for a hydrogenation catalyst of a hydrocarbon, which is excellent in desulfurization performance a hardly hydro-desulfurizing compound, and to provide the hydrogenation catalyst using the impregnating solution.;SOLUTION: This impregnating solution contains molybdenum (Mo) and has ≤3.3 Å Mo-Mo inter-atomic distance in the Mo radial distribution function obtained by performing Fourier transform on the Mo K-edge spectrum measured by an extended X-ray adsorption fine structure analysis (EXAFS) method.
