CHAIN ELONGATION VISUAL OBSERVATION STRUCTURE FOR CHAIN TENSIONER MECHANISM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive chain elongation visual observation structure for a chain tensioner mechanism, having extremely simple construction allowing easy and sure visual observation of the elongation of a chain.;SOLUTION: The chain tensioner mechanism has a tension slipper 32 to be thrust by the protrusion of a plunger 34 of a tensioner 33 to impart tension to the chain 23. Herein, a mark 36 is provided on a protruded portion of the plunger 34. The chain elongation visual observation structure for the chain tensioner mechanism comprises an observation hole 37 provided in a cover 6 covering the tensioner 33 so that the position of the mark 36 can be viewed while observing the protruded portion of the plunger 34.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
