PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein the evaluation of the polarization rate of a polarized positron beam in a comparatively short time is required, since an evaluation method to be performed in a comparatively short time does not exist, even though the evaluation of the polarization rate of the polarized positron beam is indispensable for utilizing the polarized positron beam.;SOLUTION: The evaluation of the polarization rate of the polarized positron beam is performed, by observing the state of bonding formed by polarizing unpaired electrons at the cryogenic temperature in a strong magnetic field, and making them react with impinging polarized positrons, and the spin state of positronium by a positron annihilation method.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
