PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device capable of analyzing the oxidation degree and oxygen adsorbability of the sample surface simply, quickly and accurately, with high sensitivity and high reproducibility.;SOLUTION: The sample surface is analyzed by measuring emission from the sample, while irradiating the sample with a light. This surface analysis device of the sample is equipped with a sample cell whose inner surface is coated with a nonoxidative material, a sample container for storing the sample cell, a means provided on the side of the sample container, for irradiating the sample to be stored in the sample cell with light, a filter provided near or over an opening part of the sample container, capable of shielding light having the same wavelength as the light irradiated by the light irradiating means, a light reception/conversion means provided over the filter, for converting emission emitted from the sample into an electrical signal, a counting/conversion means for counting signals outputted from the conversion means and converting the signals into signals displayable by images, and an output means for outputting the converted images.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
