PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase diffraction efficiency and to greatly reduce manufacturing cost of a transmissive diffraction grating as a spectroscopic element.;SOLUTION: The spectroscopic element includes a resin 12 that forms a diffraction grating having a cross section such as a triangle surrounded with two straight lines, and a metal 13 being a light shielding member that is formed on one straight line part of the cross section in the diffraction grating formed of the resin 12. The metal 13 is designed to reduce the transmitting light of zero-order relative to incident light and to increase the diffraction efficiency of light of 1st order.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
