PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a block polyolefin by adding a specified metallocene catalyst to a polymerization reaction zone containing an olefin monomer and polymerizing it. ;SOLUTION: This polymer is obtained by adding a metallocene-containing catalyst represented by the formula [wherein (C5R4) is a substituted cyclopentadienyl ring, one of Rs is a terminal substituent having a spatial displacement as large as that of trimethylsilyl, and the rest are hydrogen atoms; (C5R4) lacks in symmetry, (C4R'mC5C4R'n) is a (substituted) fluorenyl ring; R' is H, a 1-20C hydrocarbyl, a halogen, an alkoxyl, an alkoxyalkyl or an alkylamino, R" is a structural bridge between the (C5R4) ring and the (C4R'4C5C4 R'4) ring; Q is a 1-20C hydrocarbyl or a halogen; Me is a group IIIB, IVB, VB or VIB metal; and p is a number equal to the valence of M minus 2] to a polymerization reaction zone containing an olefin monomer and polymerizing the monomer.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
