PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sintered compact having ferromagnetism. SOLUTION: This sintered compact consists of 60-90wt.% tetragonal stabilized zirconia obtd. by allowing cesium oxide, yttrium oxide, magnesium oxide or calcium oxide to enter into solid soln. in zirconium dioxide by 2-15mol% and 40-10wt.% lanthanum hexaferrite/lanthanum--alumina solid soln. represented by the formula La(Fex , Al1-x )12 O19 (where 0.5=x=0.9).
