PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a narrow-band transmission filter which can make its transmission wavelength narrow in band while maintaining the space resolution on an imaging side at a high level without impairing the brightness of the image in an imaging optical system.;SOLUTION: The narrow-band transmission filter 1 is constituted by interposing an interference filter 20 between relay lenses 10 constituted of at least two lenses 11 and 12. As a result, there is no need for always brightly irradiating a subject like in the prior example by an image side telecentric lens. Also, a microlens array or the like which is restricted in the resolution in theory is no more used. Consequently, the resolution can be enhanced up to the theoretical level depending upon the design of the optical system and in addition, the desired narrow-band transmission characteristics can be obtained.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
