A recovery heat exchanger is constructed by combining undulatingly bent rectangular members so as to be next each other with steps. The insides of the rectangular members are hollow and form flow paths through which a fluid flows. Ribs with recesses and projections are formed on the inner surfaces of each rectangular member, or on partition walls next to each other and facing the liquid.
