PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for dynamic allocation of data communication timeslots in a GSM system and a data communication apparatus for the GSM system wherein each uplink timeslot to transmit packet data is confirmed by allowing a mobile terminal to search only one arbitrarily set downlink timeslot by adding each of USF information relating to a number of uplink timeslots allocated to data communication in the GSM system to a MAC header of one arbitrarily set downlink timeslot data header in a timeslot index format.;SOLUTION: The dynamic allocation of data communication timeslots in the GSM system includes the steps of: allocating an uplink timeslot; adding a timeslot index to a data header of one arbitrarily set downlink timeslot in a number of downlink timeslots; and transmitting the arbitrarily set downlink timeslot in response to a data communication request.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
