CONSTITUTION: This removing device consists of a scum collecting plate 2 provided obliquely to the width direction of a water passage at the water surface position in an aeration tank 1 having the circulating water passage to reduce the width of the circulating water passage, a water sprinkling trough 3 furnished above the water passage narrowed by the plate 2 and a pump 4 for pumping up the water in the passage and supplying the water to the trough 3. The foamed scum is defoamed by the defoaming water sprinkled over the water passage from the trough 3.
