PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shearing method by a drum type flying shear given an edge circular diameter difference which is capable of improving in a yield and productivity by the improvement of shearing property and improving the life of an edged tool by avoiding the interference of the edge. ;SOLUTION: In a shearing method by a drum type flying shear for shearing a strip 25 such as a steel plate between both edged tools 13, 14 by rotating the edged tools 13, 14 installed on opposed drums, the lap start point S of the mutual edges of the edged tools 13, 14 is made to the zero point of a clearance amount and also the edge circular diameter d₂ of the edged tool 14 of an exit side is made bigger than the edge circular diameter d₁ of the edged tool 13 of an entrance side.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
