PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a current correction position while correcting over sheet feed due to a sheet feed roller. ;SOLUTION: The serial recorder comprises a sheet feed control means 10 for feeding a sheet by a prescribed line feed amount or a correction line feed amount in case of printing on a cut sheet, a correction times counter 11 integrating the number of times for feeding the sheet by a correction line feed amount, and means 12 for commanding the sheet feed control means 10 to feed the sheet by a correction line feed amount if the sum of actually integrated sheet feed amount and the prescribed line feed amount exceeds the product of a correction span and the number of times during line feed operation.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
