PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep heat retaining property of concrete and prevent occurrence of temperature cracks by covering the construction joint curing surface of a mat-like concrete with a heat retaining curing mat, and removably putting a protective curing cap on a reinforcement bar projected from the construction joint curing surface. SOLUTION: An underground continuous wall 3 is excavated to a designated depth as an earth retaining wall to form a cylindrical underground space 4, and base plate concrete is placed at a designated lift height near the bottom of the space. In the base plate concrete, a lower layer concrete plate 2 is formed by placing low heat generation type concrete in a disc-like range formed by demarcating the side thereof by a form, a curing mat 10 is laid on the concrete surface, and a heat retaining curing cap 20 is put on a shearing reinforcement bar 6 projected from the concrete surface. By using the curing mat 10, at the time of hardening concrete, the concrete surface is prevented from contact with the outside air not to cause a sudden temperature drop, and further, the heat retaining cap 20 is put on the shearing reinforcement bar 6 to hold down the coefficient of heat transfer so as to prevent occurrence of temperature cracks.
