PURPOSE: To provide the title grasping jig capable of being inserted in and extracted from a trocar and sufficiently ensuring the size of a grasping part by forming the grasping part from an elastic member having an outer diameter larger than the inner diameter of the trocar in a usual state and elastically deformed so as to be capable of being inserted in the trocar. CONSTITUTION: A trocar 1 is formed into a cylindrical shape from a metal and one grasping jig 10 is inserted in and extracted from the trocar 1 to be used under the observation of an endoscope. An operation part 15 opening and closing grasping pieces 11a by remote operation is attached to the base end of a sheath 12 and the grasping part 11 and the operation part 15 are connected by the sheath 12. The grasping pieces 11a have an outer width W larger than the inner diameter D of the trocar 1 to ensure a size sufficient to grasp an internal organ such as the gall. Elasticity is imparted to the grasping pieces 11a and, when the grasping pieces 11a are inserted in and extracted from the trocar 1 at the time of use, they are elastically deformed in a finely crushed state to be inserted in the trocar 1 and, when the grasping pieces 11a are extracted from the trocar 1, they return to the original large ring-shaped state by self-elasticity.
