PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize fuel consumption by a method wherein an initial combustion waiting period of time is determined from a relation among a preset supplying amount of aggregate, an exhaust gas temperature and the initial combustion waiting period of time while initial combustion is started after the initial combustion waiting period of time has elapsed. ;SOLUTION: When aggregate, supplied through aggregate hoppers 9a, 9b, 9c, is transported by an aggregate supplying conveyor 5 to the aggregate supplying port of a drum 2, the aggregate, arrived at the aggregate supplying port of the drum 2, is detected by an aggregate detecting sensor 11 arranged near the aggregate supplying port of the drum 2. When the gravel is detected, an initial combustion waiting period of time until starting initial combustion is determined from a relation between the aggregate supplying amount, preset by a burner combustion control device 12, and an exhaust gas temperature to start the initial combustion after the determined initial combustion waiting period of time has elapsed.
