PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for sorting grain sizes of raw materials to be charged to a blast furnace which is adequately used in sorting the raw materials to be charged to the blast furnace conveyed by using a conveyer without using a screening apparatus to coarse grains and fine grains according to their grain sizes, then charging the raw materials into the furnace by each of the grain sizes from the top of the blast furnace, and to provide a sorting apparatus.;SOLUTION: In conveying the raw materials 4 to be charged to the blast furnace while successively transferring the raw materials on each of two conveyors 1-1 and 1-2 installed to lie in a row, the raw materials 4 discharged from the conveyor 1-1 and dropped toward the succeeding conveyor 1-2 are sorted to ≥2 according to their grain sizes and thereafter the raw materials 4 discharged and dropped from the last conveyor 1-2 are sorted to ≥2 according to their grain sizes, by which the grain sizes of the raw materials 4 are sorted.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
