PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for explicit multicast service which use the address of the next node on a transmission route connected on an Ethernet (R) as the destination address of an Ethernet (R) frame.;SOLUTION: The explicit multicast service method for routers connected to an Ethernet (R) includes a step where an explicit multicast data packet to be transmitted to the Ethernet (R) is received, a step where the received explicit multicast data packet is used to recognize the transmission route of the explicit multicast data packet, a step where the next node on the transmission route of the explicit multicast data packet is discriminated, a step where the address of the discriminated next node is set as the destination address of the explicit multicast data packet, and a step where the explicit multicast data packet is transmitted to the next node.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
