Laser roll bonding method and laser roll bonding apparatus for dissimilar metals

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser roll welding method and equipment for different kinds of metal such that yield of ductile intermetallic compounds is increased to improve shearing strength of a joint. PSOLUTION: In the laser roll welding method of different kinds of metal, for a first and a second metallic plate 3, 4 which are held in a non-contact state and which have different materials from each other, only the first metallic plate 3 is heated by laser irradiation. Then, the heated part of the first metallic plate 3 is pressurized against the second metallic plate 4 by a pressure roller 15 for tight contact with each other, thereby welding both metal plates 3, 4 through plastic deformation imparted to them.
