PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact rack for compact PCI bus bridge boards. SOLUTION: In this rack, a compact PCI back plane 21 to be set at one side 12a of a space chamber 12 in a rack body 13 is disposed near one end of an insert side end edge of a compact PCI bus bridge board 1, the other compact PCI back plane 22 to be set at the other side 12a of the space chamber 12 is disposed near the other end of the insert side end edge of the compact PCI bus bridge board 1, a first connector 3 to be inserted into a connector 23 of the one back plane 21 is provided on one side face of the board body 2 of the bus bridge board 1 near the one end of the insert side end edge, and a second connector 4 to be inserted in a connector 24 of the other back plane 22 is provided on the other side face of the board body 2 near the other end of the insert side end edge, thus allowing the compact PCI board 31 to be inserted in mutually reverse directions, so as to prevent a dead space from occurring.
