PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automate shaping in the breadthwise and thickness direction of strand by providing a thickness direction shaping section comprising a pair of thickness direction shaping bodies for bending strands to be transposed in the thickness direction after shaping in the breadthwise direction, and a mechanism for moving the thickness direction shaping bodies. ;SOLUTION: A breadthwise direction shaping section 5 comprises a pair of breadthwise direction shaping bodies 51A, 51B disposed on the opposite sides in the breadthwise direction of strands to be transposed in order to bend the strands in the breadthwise direction, a strand retaining section 58, a breadthwise direction shaping stand 59 and a stand moving mechanism. A thickness direction shaping section 6 comprises a pair of thickness direction shaping bodies 61A, 61B, a shaping body support 68, a thickness direction shaping stand 69 and a stand moving mechanism. According to the arrangement, a space required for shaping can be formed surely around the shaping position of strands to be transposed and manufacture of transposition coil can be automated using the breadthwise and thickness direction shaping sections.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
