PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ethylene polymer compsn. which is excellent in the adhesion to a metal or a polyolefin and in the resistance to heat aging and is useful as an adhesive for a spacer for covering optical fibers. ;SOLUTION: This compsn. comprises 100 pts.wt. resin compsn. comprising 10-90wt.% polyolefin and 90-10wt.% ethylene-unsatd. carboxylic acid copolymer, 0.01-1 pt.wt. phenolic antioxidant, and 0.001-0.3 pt.wt. pentaerythritol diphosphite.
