PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate accurately a fretting fatigue limit. ;SOLUTION: Fretting fatigue is estimated by using a peak stress at which the fretting fatigue is generated. A strain gage 20 is installed near a contact end 30 between a test piece 3 and a pad 5 to acquire the peak stress generated at the contact end 30.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
