PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speedily conduct line plotting, especially for many short lines, by employing a simple constitution. SOLUTION: An X coordinate generating section 2 has an FIFO memory 11 which receives and stores starting point coordinates, an FIFO memory 12 which receives and holds ending point coordinates and an X coordinate computing section 13 which receives output values of the memories 11 and 12, adds the corresponding output values and outputs one half of these values. The memory 11 has a memory element 11a which receives one of the output values of a parameter register 1 and the output value of the memory 12 and a memory element 11b which receives the output value of the element 11d and the output value of the memory 11. The memory 12 has a memory element 12a which receives the other output value of the register 1 and the output value from the section 13 and a memory element 12b which receives the output value of the element 12a and the output value from the section 13.
