PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a manufacturing method of a die for extruding variable cross section with which link members having the wide dimensional range is easily extruded without bringing making the device large and the link members using the same die. ;SOLUTION: This die is provided with a 1st die and 2nd die which are arranged laminatedly in the extruding direction of a formed material. On the 1st die, a 1st die hole 13 for forming an arm part and 2nd die holes 14 of two lines which are branched from at least one end part of this 1st die hole, mutually extended in a circulararc shape and for forming the peripheral wall part of a connecting part of the link member are pierced. Also, on the 2nd die, a rectangular-shaped communicative die-hole 15 having a length dimension which is extended to the 2nd die holes 14 of two lines is pierced. And, the 1st die and 2nd die are provided relatively freely movably back and forth in the direction from the 1st die hole 13 towaed the 2nd die hole 14 so as to form an extruding hole by communicating the communicative die-hole 15 with the 1st die hole 13 or the 2nd die hole 14 each other.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
