PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a die for variable cross section extrusion and a variable cross section extrusion method capable of easily forming a molded member having a desired cross sectional shape appropriately adjusted in a web length and a flange width.;SOLUTION: A first die is provided with a first web forming hole 4, a first flange forming hole arranged at one end of the first web forming hole 4 and a second flange communication hole 6, which is arranged at the other end of the web forming hole 4 and in which a width dimension is changed as it is apart from a piercing part of the first web forming hole 4. A second die is provided with a second web forming hole 7, a second flange forming hole 8 arranged at one end of the second web forming hole 7 and a first flange communication hole 9, which is arranged at the other end of the second web forming hole 7 and in which a width dimension is changed as it is apart from a piercing part of the second web forming hole 7.
