PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject polymer having a reactive double bond on the side chain and usable for the use requiring high resolution by copolymerizing a specific (meth)acrylate and a specific monomer containing an acid group. ;SOLUTION: The objective copolymer having an acid value of ≥50 is produced by the copolymerization of (A) a (meth)acrylate expressed by formula I (R1 is H or methyl; R2 is direct bond or a 1-20C alkylene; R3 to R5 are each H or a 1-10C alkyl) (e.g. 3-methyl-2-butenyl acrylate) and (B) a monomer containing an acid group and having reactive double bond. Preferably, the component B is e.g. lactone-modified hydroxyethyl (meth)acrylate of formula II (R6 is H or methyl; R7 and R9 are each a 3-10C alkylene) and the copolymerization ratio of the component A is selected to give the objective copolymer having a side chain double bond content of 0.5-7.0mol/kg.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
