PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the weight of a shoe for field and track athletics by forming the shoe without using an instep material. ;SOLUTION: The shoe for field and track athletics is composed of a sole material, a plurality of envelopes 4, toe protector 10, heel protector 11, side reinforcement 12, and a fastener. One end of each envelope 4 is fixed to the periphery 5 of the sole, while the other end has a fastener engaging structure 7, and the side reinforcement 12 is secured to the envelopes 4 in the upper part of the heel protector 11 and in the neighborhood of the fastener engaging structure, and the fastener is engaged with the fastener engaging structure 7.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
