PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum alloy substrate for PS plate wherein uniformity of a roughened face by an electrolytic etching is further improved. ;SOLUTION: A substrate of aluminum alloy for PS plate has a composition comprising 0.1-0.7 wt.% of Fe, 0.402-0.2 wt.% Si, 0.005-0.2 wt.% of one or two and more kinds of rare earth elements, and the residue being Al and inevitable impurities.
